Designer, illustrator, art director and photographer. Not necessarily in that order. Karen Hofstetter was born in São Paulo, where she worked as an art director with an eye for design, fashion, music, and art. In 2010, she traded her car for a bike and moved to Berlin, where she currently lives. Karen collaborates as an illustrator for Vogue Brazil, while creating design and branding projects for many Brazilian and international brands.

In 2014 she launched her latest project as a creative director. OH K is a slow fashion, art and decoration e-commerce in Brazil, that supports local businesses and encourages them to create products inspired by social, political and economical issues. The project focuses on making producers and consumers reflect on their role and impact within our society. Inspired by the toxic flower Amaryllis Belladonna, popularly known as Naked Lady, the project encourages new designers and consumers to reflect on Women’s Rights and the Feminism in Brazil.

As a designer, Karen loves working on brand identity, textile, illustration, music, art and fashion projects. She also curates up and coming brands for collaborations. Feel free to get in touch via e-mail with any kind of graphic project. Say hello, don’t be shy.
